About Me

Hi, I'm Barbara. I’m formerly from the corporate arena. In the early stages of my corporate career, I spent many hours watching others showcase skills, techniques and behaviors that were unfamiliar to me. Some of them stopped me in my tracks. I began to wonder what was wrong with me. I was pretty smart when it came to the technical aspects of my job. That was clearly confirmed in my annual reviews. But, clearly personal development was nowhere on my radar.

Then, one day I picked up that glorious little book titled: Think & Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. I do not recall how I came by it or if it came by me. The important thing is that we met. Actually, my initial thoughts while scanning through the pages were, “I’ve found something incredible. I wonder if anyone else knows about this little innocuous looking book.” I know you must be thinking, “what sort of rock was she living under?’ Well, I will gladly admit to my lack of knowledge about personal development at that time in my life. But that would soon change.

That was the beginning of this long winding highway to personal growth, success and development. The good news is that I quickly discovered that a heck of a lot of people already knew about that little book, Think and Grow Rich, and that it was and still is one of the best-selling books of all time.

This made me want even more. So I set out studying various human performance technologies. My study and certification in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) techniques was another game changer.

I felt sorry for myself in that I had never known what so many others had already known for so long. Why had someone not told me about this sort of stuff? Let me tell you, I did not spend too much time feeling sorry for myself. I knew that I had work to do. That little Think and Grow Rich book led me to other wonderful life-changing books and authors. The most important thing is that I began to embrace and practice many of the tips and techniques between the pages of those personal development books.

Personal Development became one of my passions. I wanted others to know about this…so I began sharing. I shared through, coaching, speaking, and writing about it.

Because of my passion and enthusiasm, and my God-given ability to motivate and inspire people of diverse backgrounds, I’ve had many opportunities to speak with and deliver my seminars locally, nationally and internationally.

I write books and special reports in the area of personal development. I want to get the message out to you any way I can, and any way you want to receive it. The important thing is that you receive it.

I am a personal coach. I have been sharing personal development strategies for over 20 years now. Some of you reading this page have probably been in one of my audiences, seminars, worked with me one-on-one or you’ve read some of my work. Or, perhaps you tuned in to my former program entitled, “Making Changes,” which I hosted on local cable TV for over three years.

Many of you have told me how your lives have changed as a result of hearing me speak, attending one of my seminars or through coaching sessions. And, I thank you for acknowledging that. Most of all, I am excited and grateful for your life changes. I’ve been there!

On a personal note, I’m a wife, mom and grandma to three wonderful teenagers. Yes, yes, yes, I know I don’t look like I could be a grandma, thank you… LOL! The truth is…I am proud to be grandma to my precious teenage grandkids. And, I love being a wife and mom. I love God, I love nature, and I love living in this little New England town where the people are great, and I get to run 3 miles every day. I love life, I love people, and I love this great work that I am privileged to get to do.

Although I’ve discovered many pots of gold – I’m still chasing rainbows. When I no longer feel the desire to chase a rainbow, to meet a challenge, then I’m dead.

Let me know how I can help you. Please contact me.
