Women Empowerment...
A Journey Worth Taking

“No one is in control of your happiness but you; therefore, you have the power to change anything about yourself or your life that you want to change.”

Part 2 0f 2

In part 1 of Women Empowerment, I left off with the question: “How does a woman empower herself?”  So… how do you learn to embrace who you are and take charge of your life? Actually, it is easier than you might think...

The Empowerment Process

Laugh – Never underestimate the power of laughter.  Stop taking everything so seriously, laughing and having a sense of humor will help your natural personality to come out. It will help keep your attitude positive.  Being able to have a sense of humor in the face of adversity is a good thing…and it will help you overcome obstacles better.

Learn - Never stop learning.  The best tool for women empowerment is education.  Education will help tear down those stereotypes and to empower you as a valuable member of society.  No matter if you are a mom or a business professional…knowledge is power!

Communicate – Never be afraid to ask for what you want.  You have a voice…never be afraid to use it.  You have every right to be heard just as much as the next person, stop choosing to go unheard.  Polish your communication skills so that you can communication better.  Being able to be heard and understood is empowering.

Respect – Respect yourself and respect others.  In order for respect to be given, you need to earn it.  Dealing with people, even difficult people in a respectful manner will earn you respect from others and that will boost your self-esteem.

Be Positive – Think and be positive at all times.  When tough times strike, you can cry and moan about it or tackle the problem with a positive attitude.  A positive attitude is motivating and will see you through tough times while complaining gets you nowhere.  If you have time to complain, you have time to take action to fix the problem, so you may as well be positive, work to find a solution, and put the problem behind you.

Be Empowered!

Women’s empowerment and your own journey towards empowering yourself are linked hand-in-hand.  When you empower yourself, you are boosting empowerment for women everywhere.  Women need to nurture each other, to help each other grow and succeed.  By being a positive role model, you are helping others in the empowerment process while empowering yourself.

Your entire life is ahead of you so empower yourself and find your place in the world and all of the success that you deserve.  If you need empowerment coaching, contact me.
